When my family came to the US from India I was a sophomore. Uma ma’am helped me figure out choosing the right Math classes and path to take based on my situation. She further helped me get accustomed to a new structure of learning and I was able to understand new Math concepts thoroughly. In my junior year, I took AP Calculus AB and received a 5 on the AP exam as well. Not only did Uma ma’am guide me on Math concepts, but she took a step further in helping me get help when I needed it with respect to other subjects and adjusting to a new country.
